As we anticipate the arrival of a new season after a challenging winter, Nikkei Centre is pleased to present Celebrate Spring. We invite everyone to join us for our multi-cultural festival that allows families, young and old, to come together for the renewed energy that this special time of year brings. This year, we have partnered with the Turkish Cultural Society to bring you inspiring and diverse cultural performances, programming, vendors, and food offerings.
Remember to enjoy our beautiful Japanese Canadian garden and visit our Museum Gallery. Our current exhibition, Rock Paper Scissors by artist Cindy Mochizuki bridges Canada and Japan by way of early migration and the natural resources of coal, lumber, and iron through speculative fiction presented in a multi-media installation.
You’ll also have the opportunity to peruse a line-up of local vendors offering unique accessories, kimono, jewelry, sweets, and more.
