Search the Collection

The Nikkei National Museum houses archival materials, art and artefacts relating to Japanese Canadian heritage.  Our mandate is to promote a better understanding and appreciation of Japanese Canadian culture. We do this by making our extensive collection readily accessible to the public.

The easiest way to search the collection is by looking through our online collection database at nikkeimuseum.org.  You can also access the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre, the New Denver Internment Memorial Centre and the Kamloops Japanese Canadian Museum & Archives’ collections by way of this address.  The database is updated on an almost daily basis so check back often to watch the collections grow.

Thank you to the Museum Assistance Program of Canadian Heritage, the Vancouver Foundation, the IK Barber BC History Digitization Program, Young Canada Works and Canada Summer Jobs for their support of our work.
