The War Between Us

03155LThe year is 1941, Peg Parnham is a wife and mother who has seen little of life beyond her home in an isolated small town in British Columbia’s interior. Aya Kawashima, born in Vancouver to Japanese parents, has enjoyed a life of comfort and good education. When Japan attacks Pearl Harbor, long-standing fears and prejudices surface on Canada’s West Coast and the Canadian Government orders all Japanese, regardless of their citizenship, to leave their homes and most of their belongings and move to remote towns.
