REMEMBRANCE DAY 2018

At the Japanese Canadian War Memorial in Stanley Park
November 11, ceremony begins at 10:40am
Armistice of the First World War was one hundred years ago. We honour the Canadian men who made a difference in winning the battle of Vimy Ridge, many medals of bravery were won by Japanese Canadians. The pilgrimage to the icon of Remembrance for many in our community, to the War Memorial in Stanley Park, acknowledges the fight for franchise, equality, and freedom of those who came before us. It’s also the 65th anniversary of the armistice of the Korean War. For more information, contact Linda Kawamoto Reid, Japanese Canadian War Memorial Committee Chair, at lreid@nikkeiplace.org.
