Tanabata – Wishing on a Star

Tanabata, known as the Star Festival, which is inspired by a similar Chinese story, tells how Orihime and Hikoboshi meet during the celebration of Tanabata. One of the traditions during Tanabata is to write wishes on tanzaku (narrow strips of colourful paper) and hang them along with other decorations.

Join us and enjoy this Japanese tradition at the Nikkei Centre on Saturday, July 4th and remember to look up at the stars ⭐⭐⭐彡 at night!
