Summer at Nikkei Garden

Enjoy Japanese culture at Nikkei Centre in Burnaby on select Fridays and Saturdays in August. Our cultural marketplace will have a selection of your favourite Matsuri food, local artisans and vendors.

Pre-order your tickets to jump in the Fast Lane! Proceeds from ticket sales support Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre. Kids under 12 enter free, but be sure to pre-order tickets to jump in the fast lane.

Limited walk-in spots are available - you may be required to wait for entry. Book your spot and join the Fast Lane by pre-ordering tickets.

NNMCC Members: New and existing Nikkei Centre Members will receive free admission and a gift when checking in (while supplies last). Please register to pre-order tickets and please be sure to bring your membership card.

*Please attend any time during the 90-minute round you have pre-ordered tickets for. But please note, last entry times into the market are 15 minutes prior to the round end!

Nikkei National Museum Gift Shop

The Nikkei National Museum gift store stocks a wide range of hand-picked items from local and international artists, including pottery, books, clothing, children's toys, origami, and small gift items.

Nikkei Centre Japanese Book Store

A volunteer-run second-hand Japanese bookstore. Proceeds support Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre.

While much has changed, we are driven to offer the community culturally rich and family-friendly experiences in a safe manner. We look forward to welcoming you in a thoughtful and phased approach, by offering limited capacity time slots. To ensure the health and safety of all our guests, staff, and volunteers, we encourage visitors to book tickets in advance.

We are committed to adhering to Provincial Health and WorkSafe requirements and guidelines. Before attending, please read our Health and Safety Plan and when visiting, please follow all signage and direction from NNMCC staff and volunteers.
