
Nikkei Centre Winter Closure

The Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre will be closed to the public for 2 weeks, between December 20, 2020 - January 4, 2021, inclusive, for the winter break. The Nikkei Centre, Nikkei National Museum, and Museum Shop will reopen to the public on Jan 5, 2021.
日系文化センター・博物館は年末年始、2020年12月20日から2021年1月4日まで二週間休館いたします。新年は1月5日(火)より通常通り開館いたします。
Due to COVID-19, annual holiday Auxiliary events have been cancelled: Breakfast with Santa and Mochitsuki. While the building is closed, our online resources are still available:
- Online Museum Shop open during the winter break.
- Broken Promises exhibit catalogue available for free download, opening livestream recording, and virtual programming available.
- Broken Promises exhibit guided tour app you can download for free. iPhone version is now available on the app store. Android version coming soon.
- Broken Promises exhibit playlist on our youtube channel.
- Sounds Japanese Canadian To Me, Podcast. New Stories from the Stage series started November 18.
- Virtual walking tours of Nikkei Garden and Kitsilano neighbourhood.
- Online cultural experiences: Nikkei culture videos and yaki manju recipe.
新型コロナウイルス感染拡大の影響により、年末の日系Auxiliaryによる「サンタと朝食を」と「餅つき」は中止となりました。年末年始の休館中もオンラインサービスは引き続きお楽しみいただけます。
