Be a part of the excitement at Nikkei Matsuri by volunteering! This Japanese summer festival is a vibrant celebration of Japanese culture, food, music, and traditions that brings our community together for an unforgettable experience. The festival takes place on Labour Day weekend, Saturday and Sunday, August 30 & 31, 2025, from 11 AM to 7 PM.
Volunteers receive training, a Matsuri t-shirt, a meal, and free admission to enjoy the festival for the rest of the day. It’s a fantastic way to support the community, meet new people, and experience Japanese culture in Canada. Sign up now and help us make this year’s festival special! No experience or Japanese language skills are required. All backgrounds, ages (16+), and abilities are welcome.
We offer a wide range of volunteer opportunities, including roles in guest services, children’s activities, event setup and teardown, and more.

A criminal record check (free of charge) is required for new volunteers, so please apply early to allow for processing time. Once we receive your application, we’ll contact you with the next step.

日系祭りボランティアに参加しませんか「日系祭り」は、日本のお祭りのようなイベントです。今年もレイバーデーの週末、2025年8月30日（土）と31日（日）の午前11時から午後7時まで開催されます。このビッグイベントを一緒に盛り上げていただき、皆さんのお力をお貸しいただけますと幸いです。
ボランティアの皆さんには、オリエンテーション、祭りTシャツ、食事、そして残りの時間をお祭りで楽しむための無料入場パスを進呈します。コミュニティを支援し、新しい人々と出会い、カナダで日本の文化を紹介できる素晴らしい機会です。経験や語学能力は問いません。あらゆるバックグラウンド、年齢（16歳以上）、能力の方を歓迎します。ボランティアとしてのご参加をお待ちしております。
ボランティアの種類は多岐にわたります。来場者案内や受付、お子様向けアクティビティ、飲食サービス、イベントの設営・撤去など様々な役割があります。
