Ikebana Workshop|12pm - 1pm|October 09

Ikebana - the Japanese art of flower arranging - is an excellent remedy for stress. Experience Japanese culture through this workshop and at Nikkei Garden Farmers Market that is also taking place on site. These Ikebana workshops will introduce the basic principles of ikebana in an easy-to-understand way. The emphasis is on enjoyment in creating a flower arrangement!

The Sangetsu School of ikebana is inspired by the flower arrangements of its founder, who wanted to create paradise on Earth through flowers. Arranging naturally with seasonal materials, is the focus of Sangetsu; as well as four other guidelines which include harmony, arranging quickly, as if painting a picture, and arranging with joy.
