Connecting Across Borders: Past Wrongs, Future Choices Symposium Brings Together Researchers, Artists

The University of Victoria’s Past Wrongs, Future Choices Project’s first symposium took place on November 15-17, 2024 in Banff, AB. Lisa Uyeda, NNMCC Collections Manager & PWFC Archives Cluster Co-Chair, and Karah Goshinmon Foster, NNMCC Executive Director attended the inaugural event joining nearly 70 project members from Canada, USA, Brazil, Australia, and Japan. Highlights include: artists performances and showcases; organization presentations; haiku writing session led by Audrey Kobayashi; and opportunities to connect with colleagues in person fostering the exchange of ideas and knowledge, and discussions around collaborative opportunities supported by the project.
