Excellent facilities! The school I work at has used the Nikkei for its graduation weekend ceremonies for many years. The hall is lovely and comfortable – the lobby is fabulous for hosting receptions with a large garden area perfect for photos. Momoko, their guest services manager delivers first class support. You won’t be disappointed!

Where to begin! I hosted a private event in the gorgeous, beautifully lit, wood-panel-clad lobby of the Nikkei Centre and my whole experience was seamless. My main contact person was Momoko, and she showed immense kindness and care throughout the whole process, from booking, to showing me around the venue, to all of the admin that followed. All of the nitty gritty details were discussed well in advance and on the actual day of the event, there were designated staff on site to make sure we had everything we needed. They had also laid out the furniture (provided by Nikkei) as we had requested. November can be very dreary, but the lobby is the perfect space to host a fall/winter event as there is ample daylight coming in. Not to mention all the gorgeous photos we were able to take in the garden of the venue. A couple of particular things that were much appreciated on the day of the event were that 1) there were multiple events in the building on the same day, but staff had organized visitor flow in a way that our gathering had total privacy (despite it being in the lobby) 2) we had a flower vase break on us during set up, and Patrick, one of the Nikkei staff, was kind enough to clean it up on his own so that we could avoid the stress and continue with our set up.
In summary: Beyond the wonderful cultural events the centre regularly hosts, I highly recommend it as an event venue ❤️

Thank you to Momoko and her team for supporting us in hosting our wedding reception at the Nikkei Cultural Centre in September 2025. We selected the Platinum Package, utilizing the main hall, lobby, IG room, and kitchen. We appreciate the kindness from the staff and their flexibility in allowing us to have any vendors we desired. There is so much you can do with this space and you can truly make your dream wedding come to life at this venue. Thank you for everything 🙂
