Landscapes of Injustice (LOI) database
The LOI digital archive collections are the culmination of a four-year intensive research period conducted by project members. It includes a diverse array of materials from archival and government records to oral histories as well as land titles records and transcribed directories.
This archive boasts 32,042 html documents collected from over 20 archives and repositories from Canada, the US and UK, including from the NNMCC.
Historica Canada | Heritage Minute: Vancouver Asahi
From 1914-1941, the Vancouver Asahi were one of city’s most dominant amateur baseball teams, winning multiple league titles in Vancouver and along the Northwest Coast. In 1942, after Canada declared war on Japan, 22,000 Japanese Canadians were interned in the interior of BC, including the Asahi players.
