Tanabata: a Festival of Stars
In Japan, people celebrate Tanabata, also known as the star festival, on July 7th originated from the Chinese Qixi festival. Tanabata celebrates an ancient Chinese legend about star-crossed lovers, Altair and Vega who were separated by the Milky way and can only meet once a year on that day. In this workshop, participants will create an arrangement imagining the story. This workshop is designed to be an enjoyable activity for just yourself or pairs as parent-child, a couple, or friends.
FAQ
Do I need to sign up with someone else?
It's not a requirement, although the instructor encourages one adult and one child per arrangement to work together. Feel free to sign up with a friend or individually.
Can I sign up with two children (or more)?
A maximum of two people can work on one flower arrangement. If you are bringing more people than that, you will need to purchase an additional flower arrangement (i.e., another ticket).
