Miso is a traditional Japanese seasoning made by fermenting soybeans with salt and a specific mold called koji, made from rice, barley, or soybeans. The result is a thick, flavorful paste that is rich in umami. It is a versatile ingredient used in soups, marinades and dressings, offering a savoury depth to various dishes.
