Kodomo No Hi こどもの日

Kodomo no Hi" (Children's Day) is celebrated on May 5th. This became a national holiday in 1948 in Japan to respect the personality of children, to promote happiness of children, and to appreciate mothers. It is to celebrate the happiness and wishing for strength and good health of all children while honouring mothers. This workshop will share this part of Japanese culture through ikebana.

FAQ

Do I need to sign up with someone else?

It's not a requirement, although the instructor encourages one adult and one child per arrangement to work together. Feel free to sign up with a friend or individually.

Can I sign up with two children (or more)?

A maximum of two people can work on one flower arrangement. If you are bringing more people than that, you will need to purchase an additional flower arrangement (i.e., another ticket).
